Adaptation

The Practice

Adaptation is founded upon the values of knowledge, freedom, courage, and respect for life.

Treatment Philosophy

Adaptation seeks to honor its core values by using treatment models that have strong empirical evidence to support their effectiveness and by making information related to depression and substance abuse readily available on its website. This means even if you are not seeking treatment at this time you can begin to build the life you deserve.  Adaptation believes that all people have the right to make their own decisions and will work to help you find solutions to problems that respect your core values.  Overcoming difficult issues can take tremendous courage and effort.  Adaptation respects this fact and will help you learn how to utilize your inner strengths to face these issues.  All people deserve to live lives that bring them happiness and fulfillment.  If you are suffering or simply want to live a better life, please consider allowing Adaptation to serve your needs.

Treatment Orientation

Adaptation is an evidence-based practice that seeks to utilize interventions that have substantial research to support their effectiveness.  Although other theoretical foundations may sometimes be used in treatment, the primary interventions at Adaptation are based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy,  Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
