Insurance

Although Adaptation does not accept insurance directly, you may be able obtain reimbursement from your insurance company for Adaptation’s services as an out-of-network provider. In order to assist you with the process, Adaptation can provide you with a diagnostic assessment or other documentation that may be necessary to receive insurance reimbursement.

If you decide to utilize your health insurance you will need to verify whether your insurance plan will reimburse you for out-of-network providers and you must contact your insurance company to obtain preauthorization. Without receiving preauthorization for services there is a chance that your insurance company will deny your request for payment and force you to bear the full cost of your sessions. Please be aware that insurance companies generally do not reimburse for the full cost of services and that full payment is due at the time of your session. Before beginning services you should check your coverage carefully and find answers to the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?
  • How much does my insurance pay for out-of-network providers?
  • How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Reduced Fee

Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis for those who truly cannot afford the full cost of services.

Cancellation Policy

If you are not present for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified Adaptation at least 48 hours in advance to cancel, there is a $75 cancellation fee.  This fee is charged because your time will have been reserved specifically for you and it is generally impossible to make that hour available to anyone else with less than 48 hours notice.
